In the public beta, we were only able to use SharePlay to share content from Apple TV Plus and Apple Music. Either way, we expect the updates bringing SharePlay to the masses to appear shortly. With SharePlay already rolled back to public beta versions of iOS 15.1 and iPadOS 15.1, that means SharePlay’s release is imminent, with full iPad and iPhone updates dropping along with macOS. IOS 15 and iPadOS 15 debuted in September, and today (October 25) macOS 12 Monterey joins those updates. Presumably, Apple wanted to spend more time tweaking SharePlay, and it wanted the release to coincide with all of these software updates becoming available on its various devices.
